Our name and the Witch logo was taken from the
Odd Whim Public House Ashton-under-Lyne,
What's in a Name.
The Odd Whim was opened in 1837 and served it's last drinks at
10-50 pm on the 30th May 2004. Prior to 1837
the Odd Whim had a some what of a chequered history as it is alleged
that in
the 1820s a Mr John Wroe, founder of the
Christian Israelite Church had
the Odd Whim built. Today what remains of the building has been
converted into two flats.
